Using the Special Request Question
The special request is a great way to find out useful information for a specific registration. This is useful for friend requests, for example. Instead of posting to the household or contact, the answer to this question appears on the registration record, in team formation, and in drop & swap.
When creating the registration question, choose:
- Backoffice>Registration Management>Program
- Create New or Select a Program
- Go-to: Create New
- Question to Ask: Enter the question
- Question Type: Smart Question
- Choose a Response Option: Leave blank to allow the registrant to enter their own solution
- Smart Question Action: Registration – Copy to registration special request field
- Save
To review/update the question answer:
Because the answers are specific to a registration, the data posts to the registration record. It can also be accessed in the Drop, Swap, and Assign to Class module.
- Household Search: right menu “Search”
- Search for the household
- Go-to: Registrations. Click Edit. On the tab Basic Information, scroll to “Special Request.” View or update this field as needed.
Update Via Drop & Swap
- Backoffice: Quicklinks>Drop, Swap, and Add to Class OR Manage Your Registrants and Contacts>Drop, Swap, and Add to Class
- Search for the contact and session to view the special request field. This can be edited in the form. The edits will move across to the Registration Record.
