Add a Sibling Discount

A Sibling discount is added a the Program level on the Prices tab. A sibling discount will apply when participants register in a single transaction for eligible programs. An eligible program is one to which a sibling discount has been included.

The Sibling Discount can be applied as either a percentage or a dollar amount. The Sibling Discount allows Cogran admins to enter the number of siblings that must be registering for the discount to activate. After the discount is activated, in most cases, sibling discounts apply to ALL siblings once the sibling quantity has been reached. Quick Instructions:

  1. Log into the Back Office
  2. Registration Setup>Program
  3. Search>Create New OR Select an existing program
    • If creating new, fill out the form that appears. A Program requires a name and a card. All other fields are optional. Fill out as needed.
  4. Navigate to tab 2, Prices.
  5. Scroll to Quantity / Sibling and Order Discounts
  6. If choosing to use percentages, check box: “Apply Discounts based on a Percentage”
  7. Scroll to Household/Sibling Discount
    • Enter the number of Siblings in household. This is the number of siblings at which the Sibling Discount will activate.
    • Enter the amount. This can be a flat fee or a percentage, depending on if the box “Apply Discounts based on a Percentage” has been added.
  8. Save!

Sample Sibling Discount Scenarios:

  • Two siblings register for soccer. Both receive the sibling discount because Siblings in Household is set to Two.
  • Two siblings register for soccer. One sibling receives the sibling discount, even though the Siblings in Household is set to two, because the Sibling Discount has been restricted in settings (https://www.registerwithcogran.com/sibing-discounts/)
  • Three siblings register for basketball, soccer, and camp. All receive the sibling discount, as it has been set up on all three programs and Siblings in Household is set to Three.
  • Four Siblings register but none receive the discount as the Siblings in Household is set to Five.
