The age group cutoff date is used to determine if a registrant is the right age for a session The age group cutoff date works in conjunction with age group restrictions.
The date references the registrant’s birthday at registration. For example, If you need a kid to be 10 by September 1, 2020 to be allowed to participate in your activities, set the age group cutoff date at September 1, 2020. When you create your program, set the age group restriction to age 10. Then, when the user registers and enters a birthdate (mandatory for most styles of registration), the system will cross reference the age group restriction, the age group cutoff date, and the user’s birthdate to reveal the correct registration program at the registration page!
Tip: If you are running several programs that have different age group cutoff dates, make it easy on yourself by creating multiple registration periods with different cutoff dates!
