My Maps: Add a personal map to your Cogran Site – The Cogran Community Helpdesk

Step One: Create Your Map

Visit https://mymaps.google.com/

Log into Google

Click Create a new map.
Go to the top left and click “Untitled map.”
Give your map a name and description.
Next to “Base map” in the bottom of the left panel, click the Down Arrow .
To choose a style, click one of the images.
Click Add marker .
Select a layer and click where to put the place. A layer can have 2,000 lines, shapes, or places.
Give your place a name.
Click Save. Repeat as needed. The markers can be edited!
To share, in the left panel, click Share.
- Make your map public: Allow anyone to find your map.
- Save
In the left panel, click the top menu icon in the left menu.
Choose “embed on my site”
Copy the URL (not any other data)
