This action require a logged in Google account.
Step One: Create Your Map
Visit https://mymaps.google.com/
Log into Google
- Click Create a new map.
- Go to the top left and click “Untitled map.”
- Give your map a name and description.
- Next to “Base map” in the bottom of the left panel, click the Down Arrow .
- To choose a style, click one of the images.
- Click Add marker .
- Select a layer and click where to put the place. A layer can have 2,000 lines, shapes, or places.
- Give your place a name.
- Click Save. Repeat as needed. The markers can be edited!
- To share, in the left panel, click Share.
- Make your map public: Allow anyone to find your map.
- Save
- In the left panel, click the top menu icon in the left menu.
- Choose “embed on my site”
- Copy the URL (not any other data)

To add your map to Cogran’s Maps, be sure to remove the “iframe” content and only copy the URL.
Step Two: Add to Cogran
To add this information to a card:
- Front Page>Cards
- Search for a Card
- Click Edit
- Tab 2: Additional display options
- Paste link in field labeled “Map embed link.”
- Save.
