Questions only appear during registration, and are most usefully used to gather additional information that is considered program-specific. Questions are free-form, and answers can take many different forms. Questions allow registrants to share additional information during the registration process for specific registration programs.

Sample response types:

  • Dropdowns: Use Cogran’s pre-created dropdown responses or add new ones (here’s how).
  • Fill in the Blank: Allow users to add unlimited information in answer to questions
  • Additional Items: Used to charge fees based on an opt-in

Questions can be added to existing programs or can be created along with a new program.

Questions are used to enhance a registration form by allowing program-specific registration information. For example, a registration program for a sport may need questions on short and sock size, or offer an in-registration coach signup. At the same time, other programs may not require this info. Program questions are a great way to gather this information.

Note that question answers can be transfered to appear on the registration form, to build out reports and other data. To do this, Cogran recommends using a Smart Question.
