Create a Donation

Donations in Cogran are a flexible registration option.

Donations can be for set amounts, such as $100. (enter the price)
Donations can be for free-entry amounts, which donors fill in themselves (leave price blank)
Donations can be recurring or one-time
Donations can be gathered in a quick POS-style transaction (add to a POS card)
Donations can be gathered during registration (add to a Registration card
Donations can be gathered as add-on options to registrations (add to a Program as an additional item)

INSTRUCTIONS

Registration Setup>Donation
Search< then click Create New

Tab 1: Basic Information

Name: Enter the name of the program
Card Category: Choose a card. To set this to POS style registration, choose a POS card. For instructions, click here. Donations can be added to POS or to Registration Cards. The same donation can be added to two or more cards!
Image: By default, the programs will display with a simple checkmark. By adding an image, the program can be more customized to an organization. Select an image from the list.
Activity: For reporting. Assign to an activity for reporting and filtering.
Account Code: Fill out the account code (optional).
More Information: Include as much additional information as needed.
Archive: Archive hides this membership from lists and views. Check to archive, uncheck to unarchive.
Copy: Enter the number of copies required.
Text for Email Confirmation: If custom information about the program should appear in the membership confirmation, enter it here. This is in addition to more info.

Price: Use this method to allow donation prices:

Save

Add this donation to a Registration Period.
- If needed, create a Registration Period. Set it up as usual. Follow these instructions if needed.
Add this donation as an additional item to a program.
- Choose a Program.
- Follow these instructions on program setup if needed.
